Final seminar: The New strategic Conception of the NATO: Interests and Priorities of the Czech Republic

PCTR together with six more academic institutions and NGO´s finished their common project ´The New Strategic Concept of NATO: Interests and Priorities of the Czech Republic.

The goal of their joint effort was to include the goals of NATO´s New Strategic Concept into the forming process of the new Security strategy of the Czech Republic (2011).

There were three main objectives: upgrade and improve the debate about Czech foreign and security policies; analyze issues and problems included in the New Strategic Concept that are relevant to the Czech Republic – identify Czech interests and priorities; support better and more systematic presentation of topics related to NATO and Security strategy of the Czech Republic in the Czech media.

PCTR was responsible for the coordination of the project. The final outcome is a publication of four policy papers focused on the most important topics of the new conception.
