The Discussion with Major General Ales Opata

The theme of the meeting was A Czech soldier in foreign missions: a view through the eyes of soldier and commander. A speaker of the seminar was the Deputy Chief of the General Staff – Director of the Joint Operations Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, Major General Ing. Ales Opata.

Major General Ing. Ales Opata is an owner of numerous military awards (Croix de Guerre – France, NATO Medal “In Service of Peace and Freedom”, Honorary Commemorative Badge “For Service in SFOR”, Honorary Commemorative Badge “50 Years of NATO”, Ministry of Defence Medal “For Service Abroad” and others), which he deserved for his service in foreign missions (UN- PROFOR and IFOR in the former Yugoslavia, SFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina, KFOR in Kosovo, ISAF -PRT Fajzabád in Afghanistan).
