Lt Gen Wiesław Kukuła is the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces since October 10, 2023. He began his military career in 1992, he was deployed with the Iraq Freedom operation in 2003. He served as a commander of the Special Forces Group (since 2012), Territorial Defense Forces (since 2016) and a General Commander of the Polish Armed Forces (since February 2023). He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 2021.
Lt Gen Karel Řehka is the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces since May 2022. He served in Kosovo and Afghanistan. Between 2017 and 2020 he was the Deputy Commander of the NATO Multinational Division North East in Elblag, Poland. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 2022.
