Dr Dan Schueftan is the head of the International Graduate Program in National Security at the University of Haifa. He was previously the director of the National Security Studies Center at the University of Haifa (2008–2018), a visiting professor at Georgetown University in Washington DC, (2012–2014), and a lecturer at the Israel Defense Forces National Defense College. For the last five decades, he has been a consultant to Israeli decision-makers and the top echelon of Israel’s government and security establishment. Dr Schueftan is regularly briefing decision-makers, senior officers, and defense and intelligence officials. He has published extensively on national security and contemporary Middle East history. Jay K. Footlik is a Managing Partner in Third Circle, Inc., a Washington, DC-based consulting firm. He represents Fortune 500 companies, governments/ministries, high-net-worth individuals, and others seeking opportunities in the MENA region. He formerly served as special assistant to President Clinton in the White House, where he worked on a range of domestic and foreign policy issues, including extensive work in the Middle East. He also served as the President’s liaison to the American Jewish community.
