Online discussion with Bruno Maçães

The Prague Centre for Transatlantic Relations of the CEVRO Institute (PCTR) organised an online discussion with former Portuguese Secretary of State for European Affairs (2013–2015) Bruno Maçães on the pandemic, the crisis which brings and how will be coped by East, West, the U.S. and the EU. The debate was moderated by Alexandr Vondra, Honorary Chairman of PCTR.
Bruno Maçães is currently a Non-resident Senior Fellow at Hudson Institute, Martens Centre and a Senior Advisor at Flint Global in London. In the past he worked for American Enterprise Institute and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as well. He has a doctorate in political science from Harvard University.
He regularly publishes in Financial Times, National Review, Politico, Guardian or Foreign Affairs. He also comments on current events for CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Al-Jazeera and is very active on Twitter. He is the author of the book The Dawn of Eurasia: On the Trail of the New World Order (2018), which was named by Financial Times and Foreign Affairs as Book of the Year. Last year he published Belt and Road: A Chinese World Order and just recently History Has Begun: The Birth of a New America.
